Was rather boring.

Had 12 drinks....didnt get drunk :( I think I must have been paying $6 for a glass of cordial or something.

Anyway, started off by going to my mate Danielles fiances parents house (thats not a mouthful - ha). Turns out they live in a MASSIVE fancy house overlooking the city. Has an indoor/outdoor pool and a tennis court. Sweet! We didnt stay there for heaps long, got there, made woodoven pizza, had some champagne and then went to the city.
Ended up going to Enigma where it was about 1,000 degrees. They have no air con, only fans :S So It was boiling all night.
Caught up with a few ppl I havent seen in a while, and then ended up going home at about 2am. It was a very uneventful night! I suppose in a way thats a good thing - it means nothing bad happened atleast!

Well, thats about it for my new years, and today was back to work for me. Hoorah!

I cant believe its 6 days till xmas. SHIT!

Thats right...juggling. Today, I learnt how to do it. Im shit but hey, it's better than I was 6 hours ago! Wooo. Go me.

Either I have a huge pressure inducing brain tumor or I need new glasses.

Ive been getting killer pressure headaches for the last week and my left eye had been doing this crazy twitching thing. The same as what happened (but to my right eye) just weeks before I found out I have astigmatism and needed glasses. And that was about 2 years ago. I havent had my eyes tested since then. Maybe Ill go tomorrow. Ugh, I cant afford new glasses *sigh* but I also cant handle these headaches any longer.
What to do what to do..

Yesterday I stretched my ears (well one, the other one will get done next week) to 4mm. I know, I know, 4mm is tiny, but it FUCKING HURT!!!!

I was out in the studio at work trying to get the taper in and it WOULD NOT GO IN so I got one of the piercers to just ram in it. I tried for 10 mins. It hurt. One more to go! Then 2mm more on each ear till I can wear my spanky new jewellery! Wooo! Go Me.

PS. Im hoping to move to Melbourne next year...anyone need a roommate?? I hear Im a great person hahah :D

So last night was the Bias Cut Fashion Show held at Higher Ground in Adelaide.
I, along with 8 other make up artists were in charge of getting all the models looking pretty :D

We were told to get there at around 12 ish, so we got there at 12:30 knowing they would be running late, and of course they were.
We sat around for around 3 and a half hours before anything started happening. They were having dress rehearsals all day, which meant us make up artists and hair stylists were made to just sit around and wait.

I had to do all the male models and actors make up which was interesting. Making a bunch of normal straight guys looks like Carson from Queer Eye heheh. Was pretty fun tho. All the male actors were nice, but the models were so up themselves it was sickening. And not even one of them was good looking. The actors were better looking!

The show went off without a hitch, although, nobody bothered to tell me that the male make up changeover had been cancelled, so I was already backstage when I found out. So I missed the entire show :( It would have been awesome to watch. Instead I hung around backstage helping helping dress models and generally getting in the way haha.

All in all it was a pretty good day. I couldnt be fucked going to the after party, so as soon as we got off stage (all us artists had to go on eek!) I bolted for the train station haha. Then my damn mp3 player ran out of battery :(

Wellll, nothing much has been happening in my life.

Worked heaps this week. Went to my friend Sarahs sisters wedding reception. Well, it was a 'commitment' ceremony her and her g/f. it was pretty cool. Free wine and food, so I was all set.
I ate steak for the first time in 11 or so years! It was alright I guess, I wouldnt eat it often tho, thats for sure.

Then saturday night, me, Sarah, Nathan, Sarahs bro Mikal and a friend of his went to see Silent Hill. It was pretty cool! I wanna see it again.

Then today I worked all day. It was fucking dead, we stood around doing nothing most of the time!

Im going to the adelaide show tomorrow with Evan to see the dogs YAY! Im so excited :D
Yeah, last tuesday I went out for tea with Amber, her husband Andy, ambers sister Beth, and another chick, Karen. It was quiz night. We came 3rd, but we didnt win anything.
We're going back this tuesday, although Im working till 6, so I'll get there late. But we're soooo gonna win hahaha :D

September is going to be a super busy month for moi. Its typical, I have nothing important on for ages then its all suddenly jammed together over 4 weeks. Here's whats coming up (at the moment):

September 1st - Doing make up for Wild Child fashion show. Gotta find out more details soon!

September 2nd - A friends sister is getting married, well, having a commitment ceremony (she's gay). I think they're going to Queensland this week for the ceremony and having the reception on the 2nd. There will be free food and alcohol so Im there :D

September 20th: Firstly I was getting my tax return done but may have to cancel (dammit) as Im going to be doing make up for a fashion show at some club in the city. Im having a meeting with the organisers tomorrow about it.

September 24th and 25th: Doing make up for a vampire movie and friend of a friend is filming. Not too sure what its about, but having a meeting tonight to find out more details. The director gave me a call last night and said they'll probably need me this coming Sunday aswell to do make up for 2 people who are playing angels. Should be interesting!!

September 29th and 30th: Getting the weekend off work as we're throwing a Welcome Home party for my sister and Roger :D Should be a fun way to end the month!

So yeah, so far thats next month!

Ok so yesterday, after getting up at 5:30 am, I worked until 6pm.
The day was quite fun considering how dead it was, we still managed to make a fair amount of money.

Then after work I went out with my friend Sandra and we proceeded to get very, very drunk. Lets just say the last 3 times Ive drunk havent turned out well. One time I ended up with a concussion, the other time I almost got into an arguement with one of my best friends and then last night, after making a decision to get the last train home at 11:50, I fell asleep on the train numerous times, then had a 15 minute walk home from the train station at 12:25am in the pitch black and freezing-ness.
During the walk home I threw up in someones front yard (sorry whoever you are) and barely made it home alive.
Although I was very grateful that mum put my electric blanket on for me so my bed was warm and toasty. I then passed out for a couple of hours...woke up, tried to force myself to be sick - nothing happened.
I really dont think my stomach and head can handle alcohol anymore.
I suppose thats a good thing really.

Anyhoo, that was my weekend. Today consisted of dragging myself out of bed at 2pm, drinking 2 massive coffees, eating 3 pieces of toast and then watching the last 4 episodes of Angel - Season 5.

But, on the bright side, my brother is building a new computer for me this week :D Hoorah!

Gah, I still feel ill. No more drinking for me for a looooong time!

Ive been having so many problems with it in the last 2 weeks. Its driving me crazy!

Ok so anyway, this week so far has been pretty good.
I got called into work yesterday which was good. I fucking love working there. Gonz and Pieta were on which was cool. Those guys are so nice to me. Actually, theyre all nice to me, but I seem to work mostly with them.
We got an order in for a whole bunch of fancy knives and samurai swords, which apparently means all the lunatics will be coming in over the next few weeks. Great. These knives are fucking insane. They should not be allowed to be sold to ANYONE regardless of whether youre over 18 or not.
Also got in a whole bunch of new belt buckles. There was some pretty cool ones in there. I gotta try not to buy anything, (which is fucking hard as we sell sooooo many cool things) coz Ive found my next tattoo design! fuck yeah!

Anyway, today was pretty boring I guess. I dragged myself outta bed at 10:00 (which is early for me) and did nothing for a while. Watched Scrubs at 11:00. Then watched thursdays episodes of 24. THEN watched 28 Days Later. That movie is fucking great, I dont know why I dont have the DVD. Oh well.
Yeah, then my friend Amber called me. She owns a hair salon and is the best fucking hair dresser i've met. She's just awesome. Anyway, she ordered a Dior eyeshadow palette for me from some wholesaler that sells them for cheap. I think for about 80 eye shadows, its $30 or something. Fucking bargain!

Theres so much stuff coming up for me, I cant wait. Although, whenever this happens, NONE of it ends up coming thru and I get disappointed.
BUT my friend Todd who I went to trade school with knows a guy who is making a vampire movie and Todd suggested I do the make up for it :D
Apparently there is gonna be some meetings about it so everything can be discussed. Fingers crossed something comes of it.
Also, Todd has set me up again! This time with some of the diploma chicks at trade school. Theyre coming up on their finals and have to do a huge show and will need extra make up artists, so Todd asked me if I wanted to help out. Woo! :D

And then today my friend Sandra called me out of the blue. It was a surprise. She's fucking great. She's just joined a band as vocalist which will be interesting, as she doesnt sing so much as growl haha. I cant wait till they start getting gigs.

Ooooookay!

So today i got my labret pierced. Woo! Looks awesome, apart from being swollen. At the moment theres a stud in there, but ones its healed, Ill be changing it to a ring YAY! I hope it heals fast.

So that was my day really. I met up with Carli in the city and we went shopping. I bought a book about serial killers from Borders coz I had a 30% off voucher. I spent about 45 mins in there trying to think of stuff to buy (i had a few vouchers LOL) and EVERYTHING that I wanted was out of stock or they didnt stock it at all! Argh! I was gonna buy a HR Giger art book, but they only had 2, one was 1964-1984 which wasnt any good coz his newer stuff is what Im after. And the other book was new, but was almost pocket size and half the writing was in a different language! I was most annoyed.
So the serial killer book it was. I got like $15 off, so im happy. Go me :D

And right now Im annoyed coz myspace isnt working (which had been common this week). It wont even let me log in dammit. Which is pretty much why im writing this post, coz I have nothing else to do. I would go get a life and do something non-internet related BUT Im supposed to be meeting a friend tomorrow and she was messaging me the details on myspace. Typical.

*cough* I just choked on coffee.

8 weeks till my sister moves back from London. Wooooooo! Im cheering coz not only is she moving back, but when her and her husband get jobs and move out (theyre staying with a friend who lives heaps close to me) theyre gonna be getting a place near the city, which means I can crash at their house after going out. Which is great coz:
1. To my house from the city is a $50 cab fair. They wanna live around a $15 cab fair away.
2. I'll actually be able to go out now. Normally I stay at home on weekends coz I cant get home if I wanna stay out past 10:30. Yes, the trains and buses here are shit. I *could* get the last train home at 11:50 (which is still hours too early) but if I do, it means i then have a 15 min walk home from the train station. And in my area, you dont even wanna be making that walk during the day.
3. I wont have to rely on other people to drive or to let me crash at their place.

woohoo. This will work out so well. Hoorah!

Oh how I want to kill my computer. If that is at all possible. It goes so slow but makes me angry VERY fast. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! I NEED MONNEEYYYYY!

Anyway, on another note, Im probably gonna get my lip pierced tomorrow. In the middle. YAY me.
I was gonna get it done yesterday after work, then just before I finished 5 people came in wanting piercings, and I didnt wanna wait around, SO maybe tomorrow if Im feeling up to it :D

Im posting this coz raptor is on my back about posting and not giving up on LJ :D This is my second time with LJ, so Im trying to actually post this time. But I really dont have much to say about anything at all!
